Application
- System separator with controllable differential pressure, Type BA
- Separation of drinking water in systems such as chemical plants, car wash facilities, disinfection systems, emergency cooling, irrigation systems, or entire drinking water systems.
Mode of operation
- The system separator consists of three chambers, where the differential pressure in the flow direction from the first to the third chamber must be at least 140 mbar higher. If this value falls below the minimum, the discharge valve opens, and the water flows into the sewage system instead of back into the drinking water network.
Design
- Execution according to EN 1717 and EN 12729
- Pressure: PN 10
- Pipe fitting with external thread 1/2" to 2"
- Minimum flow pressure: 2 bar, maximum flow velocity: 3.0 m/s, operating pressure: max. 10 bar
- Medium temperature up to 65°C
Installation and assembly
- Both sides of the valve must have shut-off valves installed, and a strainer must be mounted on the valve inlet side.
- The installation must be horizontal and should be carried out after the water meter.
- The sewer connection must be large enough so that the valve never comes into contact with water, even in the event of flooding.
- System separators of type 574 BA are maintenance-required according to SVGW W3/E2.
