Epoxy powder coating

Hawle Armaturen AG have been known for decades for their outstanding corrosion protection. This is achieved by a high-quality epoxy powder coating in a fluidised bed process. To ensure the high standard of this coating, Hawle together with other companies has founded the GSK (Gütegemeinschaft Schwerer Korrosionsschutz von Armaturen und Formstücken durch Pulverbeschichtung e. V. - Quality Association for heavy duty Corrosion Protection of Valves and Fittings by Powder Coating) .

We are very pleased that our Head of Quality Management, Ertugrul Ince, is a member of the Board of Directors of the GSK. This enables Hawle Armaturen AG to optimally represent the interests of our customers.

The GSK sets requirements that go beyond those of DIN 30677-2 and DIN 3476. These include:

the use of epoxy powder exclusively
minimum layer thickness of 250 µm
food suitability according to KTW recommendations
bacteriological safety according to DVGW - W 270
non-porous
high adhesion forces between costing and substrate (minimum adhesive force16 N/mm2 after hot water storage)
resistance to abrasion
independent monitoring of quality requirements by the FEM materials testing institute.

In addition, the GSK requires:

the creation of a test plan for the internal and external monitoring of products
self-monitoring of each production batch according to a standardised GSK sampling plan
unannounced external inspections by the FEM materials testing institute (2x / year)
